| This painting, called "Kittens Playing with Beetles" was painted by the Austrian artist Carl Reichert (1836-1918). Reichert painted genre, Austrian city views, and animals. He was most noted for his fine portrayal of animals. His first lessons were most likely given to him by his father, who was a portrait and animal painter.
